I quite often take these shots under the pier on cloudy mornings because I know the reflection will be better. I usually don’t share them because this particular pier is a bit crooked and I never like the way the lines line up. This is the first one I’ve deemed share-worthy. Hope you like it!
Behold the Sea,
The opaline, the plentiful and strong,
Yet beautiful as is the rose in June,
Fresh as the trickling rainbow of July;
Sea full of food, the nourisher of kinds,
Purger of earth, and medicine of men;
Creating a sweet climate by my breath…
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Excerpt from the poem Seashore
Photography for me has been an endless source of bright beginnings and inspiration. My sunrise walks on the ocean have spurred a love for capturing light, reflection and the magic of color through my lens. My adventures in beach photography have now brought me to my newest bright beginning: a shop where I can sell some of these seaside moments. I’m looking forward to sharing my Grand Opening with all of you. I hope you have some bright beginnings of your own this week!
